This PR was opened by the Changesets release GitHub action. When you're ready to do a release, you can merge this and publish to npm yourself or setup this action to publish automatically. If you're not ready to do a release yet, that's fine, whenever you add more changesets to main, this PR will be updated.

2cc82a6:
taskless agent okis now a recipe that says whether your Taskless environment is up to date. It still confirms the CLI can run. It checks three things: whether a newer CLI is published, whether the installed skill matches this CLI, and whether the rules owe a reconcile. When all three are current it says "Your Taskless environment is up to date and you can proceed." Otherwise it lists numbered steps with the exact commands that fix each one. The Taskless skill tells the agent to hand those steps to you to run yourself (with!in Claude Code, or in another terminal) and to runagent okagain once you have. A localtaskless checkadds the same report as a single notice, without changing its results or exit code. The newer-CLI check asks only the npm registry, once, with a one-second timeout. It accepts the answer only if it is a strict semantic version, and says nothing if the lookup fails. It is skipped in CI and when
NO_UPDATE_NOTIFIERis set, and underNO_UPDATE_NOTIFIERa localcheckshows no notice at all.agent okreads.taskless/but never writes to it.ef2744a: Reconcile now tells Taskless whether it is running in CI. Every
POST /cli/api/v2/reconcilecarriesenvironment: { ci, provider? }, using the CI detection telemetry already performs (provideris the hyphenated name, such asgithub-actions, when it is recognized). The service uses it only to record when a repository last reconciled from CI, which drives the dashboard's "CI set up" indicator; verdicts, entitlements and output are unchanged, and a local run sendsci: false.0b41364: The
no-eval-callentry in@taskless/cli/reference.jsonnow flags a call toevalwith any number of arguments, as its prompt asks, and carries a fail case foreval()and foreval(a, b). Previously the reference rule matched exactly one argument, so a rule generated correctly from the prompt, with fixtures on each side of the arity boundary ascreate-sg-rulerecommends, was graded against a reference that did not fire on them. The prompt now names the arities it expects. The corpusversionis unchanged: the shape is the same, only the content of one entry moved.0b2ed45: The
prefer-use-over-utilizeentry in@taskless/cli/reference.jsonnow flagsutilizedandutilization, as its prompt asks, and carries a fail case for each. Previously the reference rule missed both, so a rule generated correctly from the prompt was graded against a reference that did not fire on those cases. The prompt now names the forms it expects. The corpusversionis unchanged: the shape is the same, only the content of one entry moved.408b230: Update the bundled Vale to 3.26.0.
.mjs,.cjs,.mtsand.ctsfiles are now read as code, so a Vale rule over them sees comments only, as it already did for.jsand.ts. A phrase in a rule now matches across a line wrap, and aspellingrule no longer flags common technical words such asOAuthandnpm.333cc04:
taskless verify --jsonnow reports every fixture case under each rule's newcasesarray, forsg, valeandruntimealike:{ name, expected, ok, message?, files? }, wherenameis the case's path undertests/(such asfail/cast). A failing case carries the same lineerrorsprints for it asmessage, and its files asfiles(project-relative paths, the spellingfindings[].fileuses; a file over 64 KiB or one that is not text is left out). The entries are built from each runner's own per-case verdict, so a consumer no longer has to parseerrorsto learn which case failed. The field is additive:errorsis unchanged, andcasesis always present, empty when no case ran (forvalidate, a refused runtime run, or a rule that failed before its fixtures ran). It is also declared in the schema@taskless/cli/schemaspublishes.
